The small Vadilal ice cream cups be careful. I bought 5 cups and three were spoiled. I dont want to get sick so i threw them away. Bad management!!!

Almost all indian grocery items available here although prices slightly expensive compared to other Indian groceries. But the cashiers at the counter (mostly young ladies) are not helpful and should be told to help the customers in putting the stuff into their carry bags. At least they should do this to seniors and those who need help. They simply sit their after scanning items and making sure payment is done. No harm in helping.

Was walking around the Indian street and found this Indian grocery shop. Had to buy a few stuff and they had some decent Diwali sale going on. Got some dhal , cashews and few other stuff . Parking is tough. It’s crazy . Very difficult to get street parking . Had to pay 4$ an hour parking ! Expensive parking . The isle is very narrow . Very tough to push 2 carts on the row . Vegetables were fresh . Billing was a bit slow . Just 2 lanes and it gets congested . They have lots of Indian ice creams and a lot of frozen items . I didn’t see them sell fresh rotis . May be it was available but I didn’t see . Overall a good experience . 4 stars ..

I am so thankful for this little piece of India in Jersey City NJ. When it comes to seeds, spices, an all kind of products from India this is the place to go. Please consider adding to your diet natural seeds , they are rich in natural oils, fiber, minerals and vitamins...

Apna Bazaar is probably the best Indian grocery or convenience store on the Indian street in Journal square area. They offer all kinds of items, including fresh produce, all kinds of Indian pantry items, Indian snacks and also wide variety of items at the frozen aisle. The pricing of most items is pretty reasonable, place is kept decently clean and can get crowded during weekends or late evenings. I regularly attend this store with my roommates to do our groceries especially for the freshness and choice of vegetables they offer, which is much better than what we observed at Patel. However the quality of few of the items such as ground spice powders, pulses and lentils isn't so great. There have been instances when I found stones in Rajma (Kidney bean) or the color of Dhaniya (Corriander) powder is too different from a packet of the same next to it. The quality and consistency of such products is often below average. I would recommend people to buy branded items instead. During late evenings or weekends, when the shop is too crowded, it becomes difficult to navigate around the store with your trolleys and you may often have to wait for a couple of minutes for the trolleys, until s
